Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 July 2026. Wegovy Compare is a static information website, and we have designed it to collect as little about you as we can get away with. This page sets out what little there is, in plain English.
What we collect — and what we do not
There are no accounts on this site, no sign-up forms, no newsletters and no comment sections, so we hold no profile of you. We never ask for — and do not want — any information about your health, weight, medication or eligibility. What you research here is your business.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard technical logs when pages are requested: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these only in aggregate to keep the site running and to understand which pages are read. They are retained by the host for a limited period and are not combined with any other data about you.
Analytics
If we enable page analytics, we will use a privacy-respecting, cookie-free configuration that reports aggregate counts (which pages were viewed, from which country) rather than individual behaviour. We do not run advertising trackers, remarketing pixels or social-media beacons.
Cookies and local storage
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. One small piece of local storage is used if you toggle dark mode, so that your choice is remembered by your own browser. It never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser settings at any time.
Links to pharmacies
When you click through to a provider, you leave this site and the provider's own privacy policy takes over. The provider may recognise that your visit came from us — typically via a parameter in the link or a cookie set by their site. That mechanism sits on the provider's side; read their policy before giving them personal or medical information, which they will require for any consultation.
If you write to hello@wegovycompare.co.uk we will hold your message and address for as long as needed to deal with your query and keep a sensible record of corrections. We do not add correspondents to any marketing list, and we do not share your details with anyone unless the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we have handled your data badly. Given how little we collect, the honest answer to most requests will be "an email or two" — but the rights are yours and we will honour them. Contact us at the address above.
